The parental-leave relief position is:
- Closed-term full-time until 30 August 2025
- Working Monday to Friday
- Flexible to be based at Bankstown, Castle Hill, Parramatta or Queanbeyan
About the Opportunity
The Senior Clinical Manager will work under the limited direction and supervision of the General Manager, Services to lead, oversee and manage the clinical and administrative operations of Flourish Australia’s clinical services.
The Senior Clinical Manager works closely and collaboratively with other members of the Flourish Australia team, ensuring all activities are in accordance with the Grant Agreements and directions provided by the CEO, taking advice from the relevant funders/PHN’s, headspace Consortia (Bankstown, Parramatta Castle Hill and Broken Hill, the Youth Reference Groups and the Family Reference Groups) as appropriate. They will also be responsible for ensuring the clinical governance policies and procedures are well established, understood and followed.

About headspace
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation supporting young people aged 12-25 years with their mental & general health care needs. One in four young people have experienced a mental health issue in the past 12 months – a higher prevalence than all other age groups. headspace provides early intervention mental health services to young people who present with mental health issues, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing or other allied health discipline recognised by the tertiary mental health services sector, and membership of an appropriate professional body.
- Eligibility to register with Medicare Australia as an MBS Primary Care provider or an Allied Mental Health Professional provider.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to effectively lead and report on complex planning and service development processes, including the utilisation of project management and organisational development methodologies.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage in leadership and management processes, including multidisciplinary and/or cross sector initiatives, and partnerships with a wide range of professionals, organisations and stakeholders.
- Experience in direct service provision to young people and/or providing mental health services or programs, including being able to respond effectively to crisis and high-risk situations, when required.
- Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of recovery focused and family inclusive practice.
- Demonstrated experience in the establishment and management of clinical systems including the development, implementation and review of Clinical Governance Models, privacy and confidentiality principles.
- Demonstrated information management and technology skills including experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems; and ability to use a desktop computer, with familiarity with the Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office applications.
